Youth Chess Classes at the JCC Indianapolis
The JCC Indianapolis, through Indy Chess, offers a chess class that may be of special interest to those looking to enhance their knowledge of the game.
Chess class provided by Indy Chess for grades 1-6
Indy Chess lessons include board setup, how pieces move, what is checkmate, basic tactics like forks, and even endgame strategy with passed pawns. The chess program will be taught by USCF-certified chess instructor and tournament director Mike Chapuran, a JCC member who also founded Indy Chess. Learn more at the Indy Chess website.

Indy Chess sessions run one hour a week on a weekday evening for eight weeks.
