Israel Outreach at the JCC

Israel Outreach at the JCC Indianapolis

The JCC Indianapolis, as a convener of the Jewish community and the Jewish community with the greater community, seeks to build bridges and understanding with the state of Israel. Every year, Camp JCC recruits Shlicha, Israeli emissaries who work at youth summer camps throughout the United States to bridge the gap between our two nations and serve as camp counselors and specialists.

Host Families

We’re always looking for Jewish families to host youth in the Shinshinim Young Ambassadors program, a partnership between Combined Jewish Philanthropies and the Jewish Agency for Israel to bring the best and the brightest of Israel’s recent high school graduates who have deferred army service to spend a year in a diaspora community. They serve the community through volunteering in synagogues, our JCC, Hebrew schools, and youth groups throughout the year.

Events

The JCC often hosts arts and other events featuring Jewish authors, performers, or professionals or those that are focused on universal, Jewish values. For upcoming events, please view our Events page.
