Music Pups
Fun-filled classes of singing, dancing, movement, and instrument play, all designed to stimulate musical learning! Your whole family will have a blast in class and at home with award-winning recordings and songbooks. Mixed-age classes are developmentally appropriate and allow siblings to enjoy class together. Age range: Infant–4 years

Power Pups
Power Pups supports children with learning challenges, including physical/motor, sensory, emotional, cognitive, body awareness, and self-regulation.

The class will be taught by Laura Ohms, TMP instructor who is also an LCSW. For more than a decade, Ms. Laura has integrated her social work skills and love for music, including teaching music in special needs classrooms in the public school system and therapeutic day school system. She has a wide array of experiences teaching students with a wide variety of needs. 

Age range: Infant–4 years and 11 months

Ukulele
For ages 4 1/2 and up!! Children and adults are welcome to join this fun and relaxed environment to learn something new!

Come learn how to play the ukulele in a low pressure and fun group environment. The ukulele is a fun, accessible instrument that can be adapted to many musical genres, ages and environments and is a great way for children and adults to engage with music on a daily basis.  

Whether you’re a parent wanting to play along with your children, or an adolescent needing to blow off steam, the ukulele is a wonderful way to learn more about music; it provides an outlet for musical creativity and exploration; and is fun to play!


About The Music Playhouse

The Music Playhouse is a branch of The Music Class, an early childhood music education company that offers music and movement classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Its award winning music, written and recorded in-house, is loved by both children and their caregivers.

The Music Class was founded by Rob Sayer in Atlanta, GA in 1998. What began as one studio in Toco Hills has grown into an international program offered in over a thousand locations worldwide!

What to Expect from a The Music Playhouse Class at the JCC

Schedule
Music Pups® classes meet once a week for 45 minutes, in 10-week sessions (session lengths and class times may vary; see The Music Playhouse website for dates and times). The library of 12 song collections allows your family to enjoy class for three years with all new music each session.

The Music Playhouse will run a 6-week Power Pups pilot session, with limited capacity.
