Adult Softball Leagues at the JCC Indianapolis
The JCC Indianapolis partners with Circle City Athletics (CCA) to host an adult softball league. Batter up!
Additionally, the Synagogue Softball League of Indianapolis (SSLI) plays on the J’s Kaufman Stadium field each summer. To get involved, contact your synagogue or reach out to Ethan Cohen, softball player and the JCC’s Assistant Director of Youth Engagement & Special Events, at ecohen@JCCindy.org.
Benefits of Adult Softball
Your limbs will thank you as you build up enough power in your shoulders, arms, and legs to hit a home run, pitch a strikeout, make acrobatic catches, and steal second base. Plus, swinging for the fences with a team cheering you on is an endorphin boost like no other.
What to Expect from Adult Softball
CCA softball is for ages 21 and older. Teams are made up of 12-14 people; ten (10) players per side are on the field at once, including a minimum of three (3) women each.
Softball games take place outside on the JCC’s Kaufman Stadium field.
Synagogue Softball League seasons go from June through August.
CCA softball sessions run for eight weeks plus playoffs. Games are on Sundays with start times between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. or Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays with start times between 6:15 p.m.-9:15 p.m. Days are subject to change based on field availability and registration numbers.
