Family Engagement Programs at the JCC Indianapolis
The JCC Indianapolis partners with other Indianapolis organizations like The Music Playhouse, Child Care Answers, Seeds of Caring and more to offer programming to families throughout the community, whether they are JCC members or not.

Past Events Include:
- Family Music Safari, in partnership with The Music Playhouse. Attendees enjoyed creating and playing with shadow puppets, face painting, snacks, a photo op with a “lion,” demo hip hop and preschool music classes, a visit from Silly Safaris, and more!
- Passport to Tu Bishvat, in partnership with Congregation Beth Shalom, Congregation Shaarey Tefilla and PJ Library. Attendees enjoyed an intergenerational adventure across Israel to learn about the holiday of Tu Bishvat (the Jewish “New Year of the Trees”), conservation and ecology.
- Child Care Answers programming, including parent education seminars and “book swap/make and take” open houses.
Family Engagement Program Partnerships
- The Music Playhouse offers music and movement classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Child Care Answers has, since 1985, been a go-to resource for all things child care: an advisor, a collaborator, a guide, and—most importantly—a hand to hold.
- Seeds of Caring empowers kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
