Meet Our Pilates Instructors

The JCC Pilates program will help you get to the core of the matter with this complete training method pioneered by Joseph Pilates. Pilates can help you develop balance & symmetry, improve flexibility & coordination and enhance lower back mobility.

Pilates Reformer

The JCC’s certified Pilates instructors offer flexible hours and a variety of workouts on the Allegro Tower of Power Reformer. Work one-on-one or in a duet, trio or quartet to improve strength, flexibility, posture and overall body tone. If you’re new to Pilates, two private sessions are required before you can join a duet, trio or quartet. Half-hour sessions are great for building muscle stamina and mobility for active adults.

Cara George

Cara graduated cum laude with honors for excellence in Health Promotion from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Exercise Physiology. She has served as a trainer for the White House Athletic Center, where her personal training clients ranged from Department of Justice attorneys to members of the U.S. Marshal Service. Simultaneously, Cara served as a yoga and strength instructor for the Jewish Community Center in Fairfax, VA as well as a prenatal fitness trainer for the Women’s Crisis Pregnancy Center in Washington D.C. Cara is dedicated to her clients and receives no greater joy than seeing her customers attain their goals and be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle long after she has stopped training them.

Jo Harvey

A personal trainer for years, Jo’s interests and experiences in fitness are wide-ranging. She does everything from strength training to running marathons, Rock Steady Boxing to yoga.

Stacy Snyder

A graduate of Butler University (Go, Dawgs!), Stacy is a pharmacist by day. When she really got into fitness, Stacy lost 40-50 pounds. She credits the Reformer with being a great overall workout, helping with flexibility and strengthening abdominal muscles.

Lisa Thomas

Lisa started her fitness career just days after graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Kinesiology in 2008. She is a STOTT (Merrithew) certified Pilates instructor and an ACE certified personal trainer. Lisa has morning and daytime availability Mon-Fri.

Susan Vinicor

Susan received her Masters of Health Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 1989 and shortly thereafter developed an interest in Pilates as a rehabilitation technique. In 2000 she began taking a variety of Pilates courses, began teaching mat classes and later certified on the Reformer. Her passion is working with older adults to improve their quality of life, having developed her “Better Bones and Balance” class.

Ashley Zeller

Ashley is a certified e-RYT 200 yoga instructor and has 18+ years of yoga teaching experience. Her personal testimony to the health benefits of yoga and Pilates means her sessions always have a basis of healing and freedom.
