Specialty Camps

Help your child build skills in the sports and activities they like best with a JCC specialty camp. Campers receive personal attention from experienced instructors, who focus on skill development, teamwork, creativity and fun!

All specialty camps make use of the JCC’s indoor and outdoor facilities. You can create a unique experience for your child by combining our specialty camps with general day camps.

Bricks 4 Kidz

Bricks 4 Kidz  |  Grades K-5

Open to all. JCC Member rate available.

Science & engineering concepts taught by building structures with LEGO® bricks. Choose from three themed one-week sessions.

Each day of camp will feature a teaching lesson covering a different aspect of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math (STEAM) and then a model of the day inspired by that lesson. Bricks 4 Kidz kids will learn engineering skills using special tech brick LEGO parts like gears, axles, motors and more.

Week 2 (June 8-12)  |  “Galaxy Far Away”

This week will be packed full of models to make your imagination blast off! Inspired by your favorite scenes from Star Wars, campers will learn the real science behind the fiction while developing their master builder (and master Jedi) skills. Build a rebel fighter, your own Yoda and other out-of-this-world space objects!

Week 6 (July 6-10)  |  “Movie Mash-Up”

Each day, building enthusiasts will pick from their favorite movies and characters, including Minions, Ninjago, Toy Story, Harry Potter, Frozen, Sonic and more!!

Week 7 (July 13-17)  |  “Mining and Crafting”

Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. Campers will be challenged to bring their virtual Minecraft designs to life by building new mob figures, mosaics and custom motorized models.

Week 6 (July 7-10)

Located in Wisconsin, Camp Chi is all about giving kids choices. A larger camp offers more activities, more amenities and more opportunities to meet friends who share common interests. Camp Chi creates unexpected and innovative ways for campers to find a connection to Jewish culture, traditions and identity.

Week 3 (June 16-19) 

Nestled deep in the rolling, wooded hills of southeastern Indiana, Camp Livingston offers an unmatched sleepaway camp experience for children and teens based on Jewish values. For more than 90 years, Camp Livingston has provided a safe and nurturing environment where campers gain self-esteem and confidence, and form lasting friendships with their cabin and unit friends, all within a fun and exciting atmosphere.

Field trips and competition fun during Week 3 (June 15-19)

A ramped-up week of CampJCC with fun and exciting field trips and activities every day just for 6th–8th grade campers. Campers can expect to participate in themed days and activities that replicate their favorite competition shows and more, including a Gesher Olympics, Survivor Games, an after-hours dance, a beach day and Minute to Win It games!

Week 3 (June 15-19)

The Indiana Pacers Summer Basketball Camps are at the JCC for their best season ever! Join us for expert instruction, fantastic giveaways and NBA excitement.

  • Improve the FUNdamental skills in all areas of the game
  • Concentrated basketball training, both offense and defense
  • Work on individual and team skill development to become a better player

Week 3 (June 15-19)
Week 7 (July 13-17)

Campers head to Natural Valley Ranch in Brownsburg, IN, to learn all aspects of horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, mounting/dismounting, proper safety gear and safety precautions as well as riding technique. Each camper will have 2-3 hours of hands-on experience with their own horse in addition to plenty of riding time. Closed-toe shoes and long pants required.

Open to all. JCC Member rate available.

Week 6 (July 6-10)

Golf pros at the Golf Club of Indiana in Zionsville will give specific instructions to campers to help improve golf fundamentals, putting and chipping. Campers will also participate in contests and tournaments. Campers may bring their own golf clubs. If not, golf clubs will be provided.

Indy Eleven Soccer Camp

Indy Eleven Soccer Camp  |  Grades 3-8

Week 7 (July 13-17)

Campers can improve their soccer skills at the JCC this summer with Indy Eleven, focusing on fundamental skills, strategy and lots of play. Campers will also work on individual and team skill development to become better players.

Post-camp Week 1 (July 27-31)

Campers will have fun learning this new paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis, taught by experienced instructors. Campers will enjoy learning basic pickleball skills at the JCC while incorporating sportsmanship and competitions.

Join us on the courts at JCC Tennis Camp for a summer full of fun and games where you can improve your tennis game and learn the importance of sportsmanship. We’ll participate in other sports to further improve strength, endurance and agility. The JCC tennis program is tailored to meet each player’s needs with drills, skill development, demonstrations and repetition.

Campers should bring a tennis racquet, non-marking tennis shoes, bathing suit, towel, extra shirt, sun block, water bottle, snacks and lunch.

Volleyball Camp

Volleyball Camp

Volleyball Camp  |  Grades 3-5

Open to all. JCC Member rate available.

Week 6 (July 6-10)

Campers will learn and develop skills in the sport of volleyball at the JCC. Our coaches will focus on teaching the basics of the games such as serving, volleyball skill-setting, passing and games, introducing the sport of volleyball while teaching sportsmanship on and off the court.

Counselor in Training Program

Extended Care

Open to all. JCC Member rate available.

Grades K-6 | Mon-Fri, 7-9 am and 4-6 pm

Extended care is available for children attending JCC Day, Specialty, Tennis and Sports Camps for an additional fee.

Extended Care Schedule

Before-camp Care | 7–9 am
Campers have time to hang out in the After School Care wing and play board games, color, watch cartoons or head to the gym (after 8 am). Breakfast is served until 8:30 am.

Camp | 9 am–4 pm
Camp staff escort Extended Care Campers to and from their respective camps.

After-camp Care | 4–6 pm
Camp activities continue after regular hours with additional arts & crafts, sports activities or more time playing in the pool. If a camper would prefer to unwind after a full day of camp fun, they may relax and play games in our lounge. Additional snack provided.

Extended Care Location

Extended Care for grades K-1 will be in the After School Care wing. Grades 2-6 will be based outside at the pavilion (or in the auditorium during inclement weather).
