JCC Indianapolis is gearing up for an exciting program and event lineup to engage the entire community. From cultural celebrations to enriching youth activities, there’s something for everyone this fall.
Our community observes two significant Jewish holidays this season: Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins on Wednesday, October 2nd, and concludes on Friday, October 4th. It marks the start of the High Holidays, a period of introspection and renewal. It’s a time to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the year ahead. Following Rosh Hashanah, we observe Yom Kippur from Friday, October 11th to Saturday, October 12th. Known as the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur is a solemn day dedicated to seeking forgiveness and making amends. It’s a powerful time for personal reflection and spiritual growth within the Jewish community.
Join JCC Indianapolis for an inspiring evening as “The Journey " is unveiled, a gallery show featuring Cindy Wingo and Bruce Dean's original works. This exhibition showcases a variety of studio pieces that capture the essence of their artistic journeys. The event is free, but registration is appreciated.
Experience the dramatic life of the famed philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche through the Southbank Theatre Company’s compelling performance of “Seeking Nietzsche.” This play delves into Nietzsche’s complex relationships and his descent into madness. Tickets are available for purchase through Eventbrite. Don’t miss this thought-provoking production!
