February is a sweet spot at the JCC Indianapolis: the Jewish calendar shifts into Adar (hello, joy!), families start mapping out spring schedules, and it’s the perfect time to plug into community—whether you’re a longtime member or visiting us for the first time.
Rosh Chodesh Adar (Adar I) falls on Wednesday, February 18, 2026—the beginning of a new month and a timely moment to reset, reconnect, and lean into community.
Shabbat Zachor is observed on Saturday, February 28, 2026 (11 Adar). It’s one of the key Shabbatot that leads us into Purim and invites reflection, learning, and deeper connection.
Purim 2026 begins Monday night, March 2, and continues through Tuesday, March 3—a holiday known for Megillah readings, generosity, festive joy, and showing up for one another.
Locally, families can also celebrate together at the JCC Indianapolis with a community Purim party featuring costumes, games, snacks, and entertainment.
