Rosh Chodesh Adar: A Fresh Start for a Joy-Filled Month

Rosh Chodesh Adar (Adar I) falls on Wednesday, February 18, 2026—the beginning of a new month and a timely moment to reset, reconnect, and lean into community.

Shabbat Zachor: A Meaningful Moment Before Purim

Shabbat Zachor is observed on Saturday, February 28, 2026 (11 Adar). It’s one of the key Shabbatot that leads us into Purim and invites reflection, learning, and deeper connection.

Purim: Celebrate, Connect, and Give

Purim 2026 begins Monday night, March 2, and continues through Tuesday, March 3—a holiday known for Megillah readings, generosity, festive joy, and showing up for one another.

Locally, families can also celebrate together at the JCC Indianapolis with a community Purim party featuring costumes, games, snacks, and entertainment.

School’s Out Programs: Presidents’ Day + Early March Coverage (and Spring Break Prep)

If you’re already coordinating work schedules and school calendars, the JCC Indianapolis helps make those “no school” days easier. The 2025–26 School’s Out schedule includes:

  • Presidents’ Day School’s Out: Monday, February 16 (8 am–6 pm)

  • eLearning School’s Out Day: Wednesday, March 4 (8 am–6 pm)

  • MSDWT Spring Break Coverage: March 30–31 (8 am–6 pm)—a great reason to plan ahead now

These days are designed for grades K–5 and include all-day fun with games, swimming, crafts, sports, and more. Register now!
