End-of-Year Giving: Making a Difference

The end of the year is a time of reflection and gratitude, offering a perfect opportunity to give back to our community and support those in need. By donating to the JCC Indianapolis, your generous contributions help us continue to provide vital programs and services, promoting health, wellness, education, and cultural enrichment. Another way to make a large impact is to become a volunteer; volunteering, whether a few hours or a regular commitment, is invaluable to our efforts. Together, we can make a difference this holiday season.

Celebrate Chanukah: A Festival of Lights

Chanukah, or the Festival of Lights, is a time of joy, tradition, and family. Beginning on December 25th this year, Chanukah commemorates the miracle of the oil that lasted for eight days in the rededicated Holy Temple. There are several ways to celebrate the occasion and create lasting memories.

Light the Menorah: Gather with family and friends each night to light the menorah, recite blessings, and sing traditional songs.

Enjoy Traditional Foods: Savor delicious Chanukah foods like latkes (potato pancakes) and sufganiyot (jelly donuts), which symbolize the oil miracle.

Play Dreidel: Engage in the fun and festive game of Dreidel, a traditional Chanukah pastime that both children and adults can enjoy.

Share the Story: Teach the story of Chanukah to younger generations, sharing the historical significance and the values of resilience and faith.

Participate in JCC Indianapolis Events: Join the JCC for events and activities, including the upcoming Cocoa and Cuties with CEO Sam Dubrinsky, Night Away at the J: Snow Buddies, Concert Goers Social Club, and more!
