Be Part of the J’s Next Chapter This Year-End

The first 110 years of our JCC’s story has been written. Join us as we draft our next chapters…together.

Read on to find out why members like the Katz family, Leonard Scott, and the Woodward-Maxey family love the JCC, and make your year-end gift at JCCindy.org/donate.

Rachel, Jake and Jackson Katz

“The JCC has been an important place for our family through many states of life. Jake grew up at the JCC where he met lifelong friends, and he loves playing softball there every summer. Through my work in the community, I have had the privilege of working closely with the talented and dedicated staff at the JCC, and really enjoy participating in the cultural programs. We even got engaged in the gym during a Jewish Family Services – JCC collaboration called Parents Night Out. Now, as parents, we’re thrilled to see our son thriving in the JCC preschool, where he’s building his own foundation of learning and community. The JCC has truly been with us through every stage of life, creating opportunities for Jewish community, friendship, belonging, and shared experiences.”

-Rachel Katz, Acting Executive Director of Jewish Family Services

Leonard Scott suffered a cardiac event while working out at the JCC. JCC staff assisted him until medical personnel arrived, he had a pacemaker placed, and he continues to attend JCC SilverSneakers classes as part of his recovery.

“Not only is the J convenient and close to where I live, but it’s a nice facility. Especially given all the social events that happen throughout the year, it’s not just a gym, it’s a community.”

The Woodward-Maxey family

“The JCC means a lot to our family. Two of our children have been or are in the ECE and a third is joining in January 2025, and both of my girls have been in camp and love it. The JCC was also my oldest’s first job; we had so much peace of mind that she was able to have her first job somewhere we feel so comfortable with. My spouse is also a regular in the gym. Without the JCC as such a wonderful resource for our family, our lives would be a lot harder.”

-Christine Woodward, JCC Director of Food Operations
