JCC Reopening

(Updated 11/16/2020)

The health and safety of our members, guests and staff is our top priority. In accordance with governmental orders and guidelines, we are pleased to share our plan for reopening the J, including precautions such as extensive cleaning protocols and social distancing practices. We will be operating in compliance with all local and state mandates, CDC guidelines, and safe play guidelines by industry organizations, e.g., USTA.

We are open as of June 1 in accordance with Marion County’s entry into (as determined by Mayor Hogsett) and in compliance with Governor Holcomb’s Back on Track Indiana plan, including:

  • Employees and members ages 65 and older and at high risk are urged to use caution and limit their exposure in the community.
  • Employees will continue to work remotely when possible.
  • All residents should wear face coverings in public.

Regarding Marion County’s September 25 Public Health Order: At this time the JCC will not be making any changes to our current protocols and procedures, as we have already been operating at or below the capacity numbers specified in the order.

Campus-Wide Waiver

All visitors to the Max & Mae Simon Jewish Community Campus, which includes the JCC, are required to complete a campus-wide liability waiver to be admitted.

  • All adults ages 18+ should sign their own waiver.
  • If you have signed the JCC’s paper waiver in a previous visit, we need to have you also complete this new electronic campus-wide waiver as there are some changes.
  • For two-parent/guardian households, BOTH parents/guardians must separately fill out the “Parent/Guardian and Minors” waiver, not just one parent/guardian. Multiple children may be added to the form at once, but each parent/guardian must separately sign on their child(ren)’s behalf (i.e., two waivers for each child).

For your convenience and to expedite the check-in process at the door, the waiver is available online.
