Meet Our Personal Trainers


Alex Anderson

Alex is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in pharmacy with a background in anatomy and physiology and how it relates to exercise.  He also has minors in Chemistry, Healthcare Administration, and Spanish.  Alex is an A.C.E. certified personal trainer and has had a passion for sports and fitness from a young age including soccer, baseball, and cross country.  He enjoys sharing his passion with others of all ages to help them live a healthy lifestyle and achieve their own individualized fitness goals.

Dawn Bruh

Dawn is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT) certified personal trainer and a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer for 18 years. She received her Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb and her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Athletic Training from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion. She was a collegiate athlete in Women’s basketball, soccer and track and holds certifications in Lifeguarding and Lifeguard Training. Her passion is helping others with their weight loss journey, oftentimes a lifelong struggle.

Jordan Clevenger

Jordan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Movement and Sports Science from Purdue University. He is currently in his first year for a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Indiana University and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. He worked as a personal trainer during his undergrad at Purdue. Jordan is passionate about interacting and helping others realize their true potential. Jordan has played basketball all his life and also loves being outdoors. He has helped people with improving their strength, flexibility, weight loss, and increasing their athletic abilities.


Cara George

Cara graduated cum laude with honors for excellence in Health Promotion from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Exercise Physiology. Her personal training clients ranged from DOJ attorneys to members of the U.S. Marshal Service. Cara also served as a trainer for the White House Athletic Center.


James D. Gould

James has begun a pre-retirement career in health and fitness. A National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer, James has certifications in SilverSneakers MSROM, SilverSneakers Cardio Fit, Group Cycling and Group exercise. James believes it is never too late to get into shape and live life to the fullest.

Emily Guay

Emily obtained a Masters degree in Wellness Management and Gerontology from Ball State University. Her undergraduate degree is in Exercise Science and Fitness Management. She is an A.C.E. certified Personal Trainer who enjoys working with all types of people, but specializes in older adults. Emily believes it is never too late to improve your health and wellness. Her philosophy in attaining your goals is achieved through dedication; however moderation is the key to a balanced lifestyle.


Jo Harvey

Jo is certified by the National Exercise Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) and Rock Steady Boxing. Jo focuses on functional and core strength training, working from a perspective of genuine personal interest and encouragement.


Javan Odinga

Javan Odinga was born and raised in Kenya. An A.C.E. certified personal trainer and A.F.A.A. certified group instructor, he developed a passion for the world of fitness and bodybuilding in the early 90’s. He has 18 years of personal training experience on three continents: Africa (Kenya), Asia (Qatar), and North America, with a variety of clients who have different backgrounds and goals. He specifically loves working with those who want to lose weight, athletes, body builders, and the elderly.


Daniel Rasch

Born in Germany, Daniel played soccer for 25 years, 10 years as a professional. Suffering from many injuries, rehabilitation centers became a second home. Therefore he is very experienced with rehabilitation and rebuilding strength. Daniel is a certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and his passion for fitness plays a major role in his life. Daniel’s programming focuses on core stability and balance, strength as well as functional movement and is suitable for everyone no matter what age or fitness level.
As a Personal Trainer at the JCC, Daniel is excited to meet you to design an effective and efficient program that can help you to achieve your individual goals and lasting results.

Lance Smith

Lance earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Health Science Education from Butler University. Working previously for a national nutritional and dietary supplement store, Lance focuses on integrating exercise and nutrition. His background and love is basketball, but he likes all exercise–biking, hiking, rock climbing, “anything outdoors.” He believes that there is no “one size fits all” approach to training and welcomes clients of all ages and ability levels. His passion is helping others meet their goals whether it be weight loss, rehabilitation, strength training, or just getting fit!


Sam Webb

Sam is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports and Medicine. He is currently pursuing a degree in kinesiology and will then continue his studies to pursue a degree in physical therapy. He has a passion for sports and exercise, especially volleyball. Sam is eager to help you achieve any fitness goals you may have from weight loss to strength training.
